butterflies of australia gallery

Australia is home to about 416 species of butterflies from five families;  PAPILIONIDAE, NYMPHALIDAE, PIERIDAE , LYCAENIDAE, HESPERIIDAE.  The butterflies in this gallery were shot at the Coff's Harbour Butterfly House, one of the few fully enclosed, climate controlled butterfly houses in Australia.  This is an ongoing project with plans to photograph more butterflies in different regions of Australia.
